Philip Meersman (B) (1 of 5) - 10. Jesus is stripped of His garments

 10. Jesus is stripped of His garments

Take it
strip me
of my dignity

behold the flesh
casement of the soul
stare at what is left
a worn out body
agony
dolor
torment

habeas corpus
ad subjiciendum
ad recipiendum

Exposed to you
I am bare
easy
to touch
to corrupt
to molest
to plunder

Devote yourself
to the diaphanous dermis
present in your parish
carress it
let your hands slide over it
worship it with your whole self
hang onto the notes
the choir chants
blatantly fornicate
and state that I’m in you
Catachristis
ask forgiveness
it shall be given
by the power infested in me
let the children come to you
and sing

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad
